One hour ago, we finished our 24 hour fundraising spree to see how big of an impact we could make for our newest Digital Hope partner, Colombia Sin Fronteras. Well, that result was over $2500 that will instantly change the lives of 60 underprivileged students.

On behalf of everybody here at Colombia Sin Fronteras I want to say how touched and moved we are by your generosity. Your donations will keep us giving these kids the education they need and deserve to break away from the poverty in which they live. Every book, pencil and exercise book that these kids receive is treasured and treated like gold. These kids know the importance of education and are desperate to learn to read and write. If we can teach them these invaluable skills, then they will go on to teach their brothers, sisters, friends and one day, their own children.
You can’t imagine how grateful we are for your help and how much happiness it brings us to know that there are people out there who care and want to help us reach our goals. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Wow, just wow.
We figured we’d make a couple of bucks. We thought a few of you would contribute and donate. The school was hoping for $100-$200—that would have made a significant difference to the 60 or so children at Colombia Sin Fronteras.
Well—you have truly blown this out of the water. $2548.57 raised in 18 hours by over 100 donors. That humbles us to the core. I cannot begin to tell you what that means for the school.
The kids can all now have a pen and a pencil. Have two text books and pad of paper. You have sports day later this afternoon right? You know what, let’s have a football that actually has air in it, we can now afford a pump for it too.
To say we are astonished by your generosity is an understatement. I truly cannot wait for this afternoon when we tell the directors. You have ensured the survival of this school for many months if not years.
We are about to take this total to the directors who have already planned and listed the basic resources they require. They expected $200, imagine what $2548 is going to do.
We will update you later this afternoon/evening (depending on where you are in the world) on what we spend that money on. I may have a swollen ankle but they can put me in the child seat of a trolley—Johnny, Ruairi and I are going to the store with the charity director to transform your hard earned donation in to supplies that will ensure the kids come to school everyday, learn and secure their futures.
